Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit contractors will begin upgrading two railroad crossings in Santa Rosa this week.
The work includes the replacement of local road crossings at the track with concrete panels for improved passage by the walking, driving and biking public.
The work is scheduled for Fulton Road Monday through Thursday, and River Road Saturday through May 18.
The roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic at the railroad crossing. Controlled pedestrian access will be available.
